New to Eternal Hope?

Here are a few frequently asked questions.

How should I dress?

Feel free to dress in the way you are most comfortable.  Jeans to business casual to shirt and tie are acceptable.  Please don't worry about what you are wearing, we want you to enjoy your worship with us.

What if I have questions when I get there?

Prior to each service greeters are standing near the church entrance.  They are here not only to welcome you to Eternal Hope, but to answer any questions you may have.  Ushers are also standing at the entrance to the sanctuary and are prepared to assist you in any way needed.

What is the service like?

Our services follow the traditional Lutheran format with hymns and order of service coming from the Lutheran Service Book, along with Bible readings and a sermon.  Sunday worship usually last about one hour.

Is an offering taken?

We do pass an offering plate during service so that our worship may include bringing our gifts to God.  This is voluntary and is intended for our members. Visitors should not feel obligated to participate.

Will I feel out of place?

Please feel free to ask anyone about a question you may have.  We have a very friendly congregation and we love welcoming visitors.  There are other visitors at each service, so you shouldn't feel alone in being new.

What if I don't have much experience with going to church?

Please come to one of our services to see what we're about and what we can do for you.  You will not be expected to say or do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable.  Participate in as much or as little of the worship service that you'd like.  If you have any questions or are interested in communing with us, an Elder would love to speak with you regarding our communion practices before worship.
